China & Colombia Initiate FTA Talks

China and Colombia agreed  that the two countries should commence discussions on the feasibility of a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA).
 
Among other areas, the deal should increase the access to the Chinese market for the Colombian livestock sector and boost bilateral trade and investment in energy and minerals.

Tax Treaties Talks Between Switzerland and Italy

Following the positive developments with regard to the tax treaties between Switzerland and various European Union member states, Italy has agreed to resume negotiations on a comprehensive fiscal accord. The negotiations would cover a broad range of fiscal issues, including a withholding tax but also a controversial blacklist of Swiss companies and people compiled by Italy 20 years ago.
