New International Services Trade Agreement (ISA)

 
A group of 20 trading partners – the US, Canada, the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Israel, Pakistan and Turkey – will start soon negotiations on a new International Services Agreement (ISA).

ICC Rules on Forfaiting Now in Effect

The ICC’s new Uniform Rules for Forfaiting (URF) came into force on 1 January 2013.
 
The rules have been developed in cooperation with the International Forfaiting Association (IFA) and complement other ICC uniform rules – the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP).

ICC Published New Volume on DOCDEX

13 December 2012, Paris
 
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has issued a new volume containing decisions on Documentary Credit Dispute Resolution Expertise (DOCDEX – Decisions 2009-2012).
 
DOCDEX include cases based on other ICC rules kike:
Uniform Rules for Collections (URC)
Uniform Rules for Bank-to-Bank Reimbursements (URR)
Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG)
 
The new volume is an important point of reference for bankers, lawyers, importers/exporters and other practitioners who make use of ICC rules.

WTO Approves Tajikistan’s Membership

WTO Launched New “International Trade and Market Access”

The WTO’s interactive tool offers data on merchandise and commercial services trade as well as selected market access indicators from World Tariff Profiles (a WTO, ITC and UNCTAD co-publication).
 
The tool is accessed through the WTO’s website (www.wto.org/stats) and consists of four parts:
The Trade Dashboard
– The Trends Dashboard
– The Tariffs Dashboard
Made in the World
 
The data is presented in the form of interactive maps, charts and data tables and the information can be export underlying the graphics.
