The G7 (?!) condemns Crimean majority decision (with Russian support) while its integrating countries fueled and sponsored Kosovo’s self determination to become independent.

Hi!
Crimea, South Ossetia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Transnistria, Abkhazia or ex Yugoslavian countries (or even Catalonia, Scotland) etc are all very different and can not be compared…

I agree, and my comment is far from comparison of Kosovo and Crimea. What interests me is the contradicting ethical standards of the so called G7.

That’s truth, no doubt. The politic is not ethical, there are only intereses.

Reblogged this on The GOLDEN RULE and commented:
Self declared ‘axis’ of regime destruction group think themselves so invincible as to declare another country as rogue, when they are themselves the rogues.

territorial integrity and independence. ”
Ukraine was a sovereign self-controlled country and who destroyed that status? Them!
Russia is supporting Ukraine sovereignty! How blatantly corrupt is this Western behaviour?

Thank you for reblogging. Like always, it’s very interesting the way EU, US, Russia etc know to express their opinions on sovereignty and, in the same time, to act contradictory.

Where do you draw the line of respect to sovereignty when the population majority claims for independence or unification to another country? The final decision will be interest based, by US or Russian interests, never by the determination rights of the population involved, unless they can bargain with internal commodities.

I agreed the population should decide for itself, but it is very important the way it is done.

Shameful after all america has done in latin america, which they perceive as their doorstep empire. More to the point after what britain has done worldwide. As much as I hate empire I’d rather be ruled by more than one, especially in the light of diminishing resources.

I agree with that, the power in the world should be share between different “empires”.

Russia’s actions in the Ukraine situation are clearly wrong. But reading this declaration mentioning the “Rule of Law” from countries Like the US and Britain just makes me laugh…

You are not the only one. I think it’s more a reflex of impotence.

the pertinent question now is: will isolating Russia solve the issue of annexing Crimea which the international community views as a violation of international charters.?
