EU-U.S. Agreement on “Trusted Traders”

Under the agreement between the EU and the U.S., the each other’s security certified operators will be recognised by both customs’ authorities. These companies will benefit from faster controls and reduced administration for customs clearance and will also improve security on imports and exports.
 
The companies which will be affected by this agreement are the members of Authorised Economic Operators (AEOs) in the EU and the members of US Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
